VOICETHREAD

         It is very important for us -preservise teachers- to improve our presentation skills. The most important thing a teacher has to do is to explain what she/he knows, to the students. In our student lives we usually embarrassed or afraid to go to the board and give a presentation in front of all of our friends and teacher. So I want to share a very useful application that is quite effective in these situations. It is Voicethread. Thanks to the Voicethread our fears turns into entertainment.

         It is actually an international e-portfolio system.  It can be used anywhere with a computer, tablet and smartphone connected to the Internet. You can sign up for free and easily access and use. You can upload videos, photos or slideshows you have prepared and you can make presentations on them which is known as commenting in the app. You can record your presentation with video or audio according to your preference. While recording, you can make additions and drawings to your image or video as if you are making a real presentation. I have met this application thanks to my assignments but I suggest you to use it not because you have to. If you are going to be a teacher like me, then just prepare yourself small presentations about topics that interest you or find videos and comment on them. If you change your privacy settings of your presentations an make them public, other users can watch and comment on your recordings. You can also comment on others. 

        To sum up, I think this application is the best way to familiarize ourselves with teaching. If you want to be a confident teacher, you should start practicing now. Nothing happens without effort. Therefore you must strive to achive your goal.
